CSM Canada Inc. (Christian Salvage Ministries)

 

Christian Salvage Mission began in 1994 to help the many people overseas who did not have Bibles and Christian materials and who were hungry to know more of our Lord and Saviour. These materials were sent for their own personal growth, as well as, to equip them to share with others the grace, mercy and love of God. 

One Bible or book can be read by many people over and over again. Televisions and radios can be a wonderful tool to be used by ministries, but it is also true that people require something to hold in their hands. Maturity comes through precept and practice. Bibles and books are indispensable to such a goal.

The first sea container was shipped from CSM's warehouse location in Hamilton, Ontario, in 2001 and was sent to Romania. The 100th sea container was shipped to Nigeria Africa in November of 2014.

Christian Salvage Mission collects from PBC and other churches and ships the materials at no cost to the receivers.  See Mavis who coordinates collection of such materials.

They collect gently used Bibles and Christian books from all over Canada with the hope that no fragments of the Gospel are lost. CSM  works to make sure these materials make it to evangelists all throughout the world to complete the Great Commission.

Living as a faithful Christian in India, can look very different than in Canada. Believers in India face persecution from their neighbors, government, and even their own families.   In 2024, CSM sent a container filled with Bibles and evangelical Christian books to a small outreach ministry in Southern India.  The main goal of the outreach was to replace the Bibles and books in villages where their churches had been burned down in 2023 and early 2024. Thousands of people, Christians and unbelievers alike, had been forced to flee as entire villages were destroyed.  As a result, many of their Bibles and books had been lost. Certainly their lives were of greater value, but the loss was still hard. Pray for believers in India that persecution would diminish and that many would come to know Jesus as CSM materials are made available.
