Overview

Welcome to the website of Parkland Baptist Church.  It is our hope and prayer that, after visiting this website, you will be led by the Lord to visit Parkland Baptist Church.  PBC is a place where you can grow in your relationship with the Lord Jesus and with one another. 

Our mission as a church family is to be a growing family of believers seeking to glorify God. We believe the glory of God is directly related to our spiritual well-being.  PBC is committed to five core values that are foundational to fostering our spiritual well-being so that God is most glorified.

As a growing church family, we are committed to declaring our praises to God. On Sundays and in small-group communities, we have the opportunity to set aside our preoccupations and concerns of the material world and come together as a family of believers to declare our praise to God.  Our praise of Him is appropriate because of who He is! Praise offered to the Lord is a statement that, as a family of believers, we recognize His love and His power.  Every aspect of our life has been enhanced by His grace; therefore, every fibre of our being elicits praise to Him.   The intensity of our praises grows as our awareness of His goodness increases.

As a church family, we are committed to being discipled by the entire Scriptures.  We believe the Bible is the living Word of God and true in all it teaches.  It speaks with final authority on every issue that it addresses and is our standard in all matters pertaining to faith and life.  

As a family of believers, we are also devoted to corporate prayer.  Prayer unites us to the purposes of God and is grounded in our confidence in who God is and what He can do.  We also seek to diligently live out the Great Commandment (Matt 22:36, 37).  Fostering love for the Lord and for one another is our number one priority as a growing family of believers.

Our final core value, foundational to our efforts to glorify God, is our dedication to the Great Commission.  The Lord Jesus has entrusted to us a wonderful life-changing message to share!  There is no greater thing we can do, no greater love we can show than to tell another person about the love and grace of the Lord. 

Parkland Baptist is an elder-led, deacon-served, and congregationally governed church.  We are here to assist you in deepening your walk with God and growing as a disciple of Christ Jesus.  We look forward to meeting you and to getting to know you better.
