Chosen People Ministries

 

Chosen People Ministries began in the US in 1894, with over 5.5 million Jewish people now living in there. 

Through the dedicated work of early CPM workers, many individuals and entire families have come to believe in Jesus. Several of them, including some of our staff, are in full-time service for the Lord. 

CPM (Canada) began in Hamilton in 1940, then Toronto and later, Montreal. After a quiet period in the ‘70s, various people led ministry to Jewish people through the ‘80s and ’90s, with Jorge Sedaca (brother of US Executive Director David Sedaca).  Jorge was appointed as Executive Director for Canada in 2010 and is based in Toronto.   

The various CPM (Canada) missionaries minister across Canada where there are now 375,000 Jewish people.  CPM Messianic congregations are now in Toronto, Hamilton, Winnipeg and Vancouver and the missionaries continue to make churches aware of this important ministry.  As well as evangelism and discipleship, CPM (Canada) ministries include running a Messianic Centre in Toronto, producing publications for church and Jewish readers, online ministry, short term missions, summer internships and sending out missionaries on long-term assignments.

As a supported mission of PBC, we have had Jorge visit PBC twice over the years preaching and sharing more about what is happening through CPM.

Pray for Jewish people in your neighbourhood and across Canada that they would hear the Good News of the Jewish Messiah, Jesus Christ and to come to know him in personal relationship.
