NCEM Subpage Banner

Our supported mission, Northern Canada Evangelical Mission (NCEM) is an interdenominational ministry seeking to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ among and in partnership with the Aboriginal Peoples of Canada.

NCEM's Vision: by faith to establish strong indigenous multiplying churches.

NCEM’s missionaries, spread out across Canada, are evangelical Christians from diverse cultural backgrounds and various church backgrounds—bonded together by the goal to make disciples of Jesus Christ among Canada’s First Peoples.  Also to establish indigenous churches that will propagate the Gospel in their own communities and beyond.  NCEM faces the challenge of evangelizing still unreached areas, discipling Native believers, and training church leaders.

At NCEM church multiplying is at the heart of it all, with each of the support ministries contributing.  These include: Ministry Centres, Bible camps, Aviation, Literature, Radio and TV (Tribal Trails).  Most recently, NCEM’s KeyWayTin Bible Institute in Lac La Biche (closed in 2013 due to lack of staff), is expected to reopen in Fall 2025, run by Jeremy and Justine Sherwood.  Pray for them as they seek  qualified Bible teachers to be able to attract students again to be trained in the Word.
